Let’s Talk About Libido

By James Ryan Toledo

“Honey, the kids are away. Maybe we can, you know.”

This is an all too familiar scenario for any married couple: the kids are out on a trip and you are all alone with your spouse. Then all of a sudden, one or both of you starts getting bright ideas on what to do next. Or you could be out there on a date and passing by a motel reminds you of things you both did when you were younger.

Libido – it’s what every man and woman on this planet experiences from day to day. There are a lot of terms for this over the years: sex drive, the urge, mojo but it all basically boils down to the instinct to have sexual intercourse. The term was first coined by renowned psychologist Sigmund Freud in his studies of the correlation between the human mind and body. Freud notes that a human being undergoes three stages of sexual maturation: oral, anal and phallic. A newborn child according to him, is already sexually aware; in the oral stage, this is manifested through the sucking of the mother’s breast. As a child undergoes development, the sexual functions shift towards the rectal region, particularly during potty training. This is the so-called anal stage. Finally, as the child reaches puberty and adulthood, his or her sexual functions manifest in their maturing genitals. This is when the last stage, the so-called phallic is reached.

Libido is primarily a state of mind. It is said that men are more likely to give in to their libido than women. Men’s libido is almost always compared to a match that easily lights up while women’s libido is usually compared to that of a slow-heating oven. Whatever the case, men and women are both prone to lack of libido.

The lack of libido stems from a lot of factors. In men, some of the physical causes pointed are: stress, lack of sleep, lack of testosterone, the presence of cardiovascular disease and diabetes among the major causes. For women, anemia, overactive pituitary glands, the ‘rest period’ after childbirth adds in to the physical factors causing lack of libido. But emotional factors are what ties men and women together when lack of libido is concerned. Domestic problems are pointed out as the number one cause, though infidelity, latent homosexuality and other marital problems are also on the list.

Some pieces of advice for people having problems with their libido: for those who mainly experience the physical factors perhaps a change in diet might solve the issue. Common aphrodisiacs are a good way of getting that spark to light up again. For emotional problems, a good talk with the spouse might patch things up and may lead to surprising results although for some extreme cases, intervention and advice from a certified marriage counselor might do better.

Health and dietary supplements can also help, one of the more widely available is Enduranz tablets which contain Tongkat-Ali extracts proven to increase libido.

Enduranz Capsule for Men is a multi -herb natural food supplement containing Tongkat-Ali, Banaba (Lagerstroenii speciosa), Malungay (Moringa oleifera), and Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica). These herbs restore male energies that had been lost over years.

Work and Libido

By James Ryan Toledo

Men are expected to be the breadwinners of the family, and today’s jobs demand more than physical prowess to get through. An average male spends around 10 hours or more out of their homes commuting and working each day, for around 5 to 7 days a week. With this kind of routine, stress comes in and becomes a very significant limiting factor to an individual.

There are current studies being done correlating stress with men’s health and stress. According to these studies, men’s health and stress levels are inversely related; which means that the harder a man works the greater the risk of him burning out. Not to mention that stress also lessens a man’s libido overtime which, through time, may present itself as erectile dysfunction and impotence.

Being a developing country, the Philippines rely on heavy manpower and with this we are renowned all over the world for being such industrious workers through and through. A typical Filipino male is accustomed to laborious jobs. More often than not, after a good hard day’s work, a man could simply lie down and rest to work another day.

But sometimes too must rest and relaxation can be counterproductive. More Filipino men are shifting to white-collar jobs that do not really require much physical activity. Call center jobs, clerical positions and Information technology positions are preferred these days and usually men in these jobs complain about lacking some fire and passion in bed. One of the reasons for weakened libido is a man’s lifestyle itself. Men can become sedentary in and out of work and this can be bad. Let’s take a call center agent for example; a typical call center agent could spend almost his entire shift sitting in front of his systems. When his shift ends, an agent would usually commute and then lay his back on his comfortable sofa or bed for some rest. Same thing goes for the rest of his work week and as his rest days come, a common white collar man would spend it in front of the television watching his games or what not.

Again, this kind of routine is counter-productive and if this results to reproductive problems like erectile dysfunction, then there’s a need for you Juan, to stand up and do a little exercise. The key to a healthy sex life and in the long term, life itself is physical activity. First thing a man should do in case he’s facing this kind of dilemma is to get enough sleep and nutrition. Health supplements like Enduranz tablets, which are packed with Tongkat-Ali would certainly help in sparking up and maintaining the sexual spark in any man.

So, after getting the right amount of rest and nutrition, the next thing to do is to help the body relax and distress itself. When you feel that you had enough relaxation, don’t jump into heavy exercises yet. Do this instead, start with some light exercises first. You can then proceed to cardio-vascular and flexibility exercises when you are done with the lighter routine for fuller effect.

The Fuss About Erectile Dysfunction

By James Ryan Toledo

There’s nothing worse for a man than losing his libido in the prime of his life.  Worst of all, a man might have the libido, but then, his ‘manhood’ might not cooperate.  This condition is called Erectile Dysfunction.

Erectile Dysfunction (abbreviated as ED), also known as impotence is a condition in which a man is unable to perform an erection.  It can also describe the condition in which a man cannot fully or partially fulfill his sexual functions and thus cannot consummate proper sexual intercourse.  This would likely disrupt sexual intercourse and in turn, will cause much disappointment, not to mention psychological and emotional stress to both partners.

Erectile Dysfunction, as mentioned earlier is the failure of a male to achieve and/or sustain an erection.  An erection occurs when a male is sexually stimulated thru audio-visual stimuli.  The brain sends signals to the circulatory system to pump out more blood into the genital area, most particularly to the penis.  The penis being made up mostly of tough spongy tissue and laden with blood vessels will fill up with blood eventually causing turgidity of the organ.

There are a number of factors linked to Erectile Dysfunction (ED), among these are diabetes, hypertension and alcohol and/or tobacco use. Old age is seen as a natural cause of ED, as the heart weakens as one grows old.  But one the prime suspects in the development of ED is the deficiency of testosterone in the body.  Testosterone is the primary male hormone that governs a lot of male sexual functions, and erection is one of those.

The good news is that a plant known as Tongkat-Ali is known to be a natural health supplement that boosts the testosterone levels in men, and there are also claims that Tongkat-Ali can also boost energy levels and increase overall well-being in both men and women.  Unlike commercially available drinks or supplements, Enduranz is readily available in capsule form and can be taken anytime even on an empty stomach.

In addition, Enduranz is also a multi-herb supplement that helps in improving other body functions. And the fact that Enduranz is all natural guarantees that there are no harmful additives included in each capsule.
